A Must Read!

A young lady was waiting for her flight in the boarding room of a big airport. As she would need to wait many hours, she decided to buy a book to spend her time. She also bought a packet of cookies. She sat down in an armchair, in the VIP room of the airport, to rest and read in peace. Beside the armchair where the packet of cookies lay, a man sat down in the next seat, opened his magazine and started reading. When she took out the first cookie, the man took one also.
She felt irritated but said nothing. She just thought: “What a nerve! If I was in the mood I would punch him for daring!” For each cookie she took, the man took one too. This was infuriating her but she didn’t want to cause a scene. When only one cookie remained, she thought: “ah... What would this abusive man do now?” Then, the man, taking the last cookie, divided it into half, giving her one half. Ah! That was too much! She was much too angry now! In a huff, she insulted the man, took her book, her things and stormed to the boarding place. When she sat down in her seat, inside the plane, she looked into her bag to take her glasses, and, to her surprise, her packet of cookies was there, untouched, unopened! She felt so ashamed!! She realized that she was wrong... She had forgotten that her cookies were in her bag. The man had shared his cookies with her, without feeling angered or bitter.
...while she had been very angry, thinking that she was sharing her cookies with him.
And now there was no chance to explain herself...nor to apologize.”
... There are 4 things that you cannot recover.
The cake...
...after it's eaten!
The word...
...after it’s said!
The occasion...
... after the loss!
The time...
...after it’s gone!
Be careful ALWAYS

Live life strategically!

Use does not imply expertise, you don't find what you are deliberately looking for, that is why one can use this world for 70yrs and still have not gained mastery of life. There are so many norms out there that only those who can strategically stand out will be celebrated in life.
Here is my recommendation, live your life strategically, do good old things in new strategic ways, never do good new things in good old ways, there is always room for better, but the room for best are strategically created.
Am watching out for you...

One of the advantages of looking into the future is that you realise that the future is nothing more than another today; it's just that when you get there, you have more yesterdays behind you and fewer tomorrows to look forward to.

The Hopes of Tomorrow.

The past only get longer,
the future only shorter,
all the sorrows of yesterday
would never outweight the hopes of tomorrow.
Sometimes, life turn us upside down so that we can learn how to live rightside up.

Source of Anxieties.

The theory of Cognitive Dissonance which was proposed by Leon Festinger states that when we have two contradictory beliefs we feel anxiety.
Cognitive Dissonance also occurs when our thoughts and behaviours are inconsistent.
Cognitive Dissonance also operates on the idea that you get what you pay for or what you're worth.

Have You Got A Father?

Wise people learn from instructions while others learn from experience. That's why a life of fatherlessness is always full of struggles.
Who are you humble enough to listen to & take instructions from? On whose shoulder do you climb to see further than your eyes could ever see?
Know however that you have to be careful with who you listen to because in the long run you are following your father's father.

What Do You Carry?

Every great building stands on the strength of the internal structure sustaining it.
The internal strength of an elastic material determines how far it can project.
You'd never burn beyond the fuel you carry.
For how long can you stand under the pressure of life?
Friends, the journey is so far that we have to take time to build the right foundation for our lives, or else our labour would not be favoured.

A Poem For the Mothers: The Woman I See In You.

As a toddler it was her face i found,
even when all were gone, she found her strength,
her candle never go out in the night,
she's as a palm tree standing high into the cloud.

At the break of the day she was a seed,
what i saw was a girl without a breast,
she became a woman forever known by her fruit,
but in the set, all saw her glorious seed.

A woman whose strength is as the eagle,
her beauty surpass that of the peacocks,
her character is a jewel of inestimable value,
her door remain lock until he is allowed to find the keys.

She'd never judge after the sight of her eye.
Yes, strength can deceive, and beauty may be vain,
but the fear of the Lord runs in her vein.
That's the woman i see in you, and that's the woman you'd be.

This piece is dedicated to Mothers, including those in training.
I respect, honour & celebrate you.
Happy Mother's day.

Attitude is Everything

Jerry was the kind of guy you love to hate. He was always in a good mood and always had something positive to say. When someone would ask him how he was doing, he would reply, "If I were any better, I would be twins!"

He was a unique manager because he had several waiters who had followed him around from restaurant to restaurant. The reason the waiters followed Jerry was because of his attitude. He was a natural motivator. If an employee was having a bad day, Jerry was there telling the employee how to look on the positive side of the situation.

Seeing this style really made me curious, so one day I went up to Jerry and asked him, "I don't get it! You can't be a positive person all of the time. How do you do it?" Jerry replied, "Each morning I wake up and say to myself, Jerry, you have two choices today. You can choose to be in a good mood or you can choose to be in a bad mood.' I choose to be in a good mood. Each time something bad happens, I can choose to be a victim or I can choose to learn from it. I choose to learn from it. Every time someone comes to me complaining, I can choose to accept their complaining or I can point out the positive side of life. I choose the positive side of life."

"Yeah, right, it's not that easy," I protested.

"Yes it is," Jerry said. "Life is all about choices. When you cut away all the junk, every situation is a choice. You choose how you react to situations. You choose how people will affect your mood. You choose to be in a good mood or bad mood. The bottom line: It's your choice how you live life."

I reflected on what Jerry said. Soon thereafter, I left the restaurant industry to start my own business. We lost touch, but often thought about him when I made a choice about life instead of reacting to it.

Several years later, I heard that Jerry did something you are never supposed to do in a restaurant business: he left the back door open one morning and was held up at gunpoint by three armed robbers. While trying to open the safe, his hand, shaking from nervousness, slipped off the combination. The robbers panicked and shot him. Luckily, Jerry was found relatively quickly and rushed to the local trauma center. After 18 hours of surgery and weeks of intensive care, Jerry was released from the hospital with fragments of the bullets still in his body.

I saw Jerry about six months after the accident. When I asked him how he was, he replied, "If I were any better, I'd be twins. Wanna see my scars?"

I declined to see his wounds, but did ask him what had gone through his mind as the robbery took place. "The first thing that went through my mind was that I should have locked the back door," Jerry replied. "Then, as I lay on the floor, I remembered that I had two choices: I could choose to live, or I could choose to die. I chose to live.

"Weren't you scared? Did you lose consciousness?" I asked. Jerry continued, "The paramedics were great. They kept telling me I was going to be fine. But when they wheeled me into the emergency room and I saw the expressions on the faces of the doctors and nurses, I got really scared. In their eyes, I read, 'He's a dead man. " I knew I needed to take action."

"What did you do?" I asked.

"Well, there was a big, burly nurse shouting questions at me," said Jerry. "She asked if I was allergic to anything. 'Yes,' I replied. The doctors and nurses stopped working as they waited for my reply.. I took a deep breath and yelled, 'Bullets!' Over their laughter, I told them, 'I am choosing to live. Operate on me as if I am alive, not dead."

Jerry lived thanks to the skill of his doctors, but also because of his amazing attitude. I learned from him that every day we have the choice to live fully. Attitude, after all, is everything.

Love Is Life.

No one ever told me what life is about,
A few tried, though only with a doubt.
Just like an Ox would always end as a beef,
So will life without love with a grief.
Then I tried to give someone a lift,
Only then was my life being a gift.
Now I know, Life is Love, and love is life.

The Power of Choice in Relationship.

Providing marriage prospects is God's responsibility, but choosing a mate is yours. Rely on the assistance of God the Spirit, but do not attempt to transfer the responsibility of choice to Him. This's because God has given ur all the power of choice.

Are you responsible enough?

"Ultimately, man should not ask what the meaning of his life is, but rather must recognize that it is he who is asked. In a word, each man is questioned by life; and he can only answer to life by answering for his own life; to life he can only respond by being responsible." -Stephen Covey.

When You are Out of Place

When out of place. When out of pace with the creator. Life suddenly becomes mundane with feelings of emptiness all coming unexplained. You remember carefully when deep Joy was the order of the day. And you wonder how come you've lost your way. You wonder if God will hear you again. If He could take the pain away. If He could send his ...latter rain. And take away your shame.
Here I am Lord. Place your joy again in me.See More
